Health & Safety
DPP are fully committed to Health and Safety.
The Health, Safety and well being of our workers, contractors, and all other personnel who maybe affected by our works, are our priority. For each project we produce a Health and Safety Policy. For each individual task we carry out a stringent risk-assessment. We regularly employ the services of an independent Health & Safety consultant to advise and keep us up-to-date on related health and safety issues.
All our supervisors are trained in first aid and attend regular training programmes to help prevent accident, injury or occupational ill-health. As part of there on-going training, they are also trained in how to prevent possible damage to plant, equipment, property and materials. This is achieved by carrying out daily site inspections, along with weekly tool box talks on relevant topics.
A method statement is produced for each individual site/project. All personnel must sign their agreement to adhere to the policy, which includes:
- The health and safety of themselves and others.
- Wearing full personal protective equipment, to include glasses and gloves.
- To adhere to site policy.
- Housekeeping on a daily basis
- To be in possession or working towards construction skills certification scheme (cscs) qualification.
We have in place a complete in-house Health and Safety training and audit team for all our staff and we regularly carry out on all sites:
- professional risk assessments
- regular on-site checks
- independent health & safety compliance audits
